How to exhaust an Enquiry

To close a live enquiry you will need to exhaust it within Sonas.

Step-by-step guide:

  1. To exhaust an enquiry, click on the General section of your customer's event sub menu.

  1. Click the Actions menu in the top right hand corner and then **Exhaust.

  1. This will take you to another page where you can indicate the reason for shutting down the enquiry and which other venue was booked instead (if known).

  1. The information provided here can generate event marketing reports in Sonas, providing you with a better understanding of why your enquiries are not being converted.

Can I bulk exhaust multiple enquiries at once?

No. There is no option to bulk convert enquiries to exhausted status. Each enquiry must be exhausted individually because the system requires you to enter the reason for exhaustion and, optionally, which venue the client booked instead. A bulk convert would not allow you to enter that individual information for each enquiry.

Tip: If you haven't heard back from a client and don't know where they booked, consider using the Idle status instead. Idle is recommended for "ghost" enquiries — clients who have not responded yes or no. You can then send a bulk email to try to re-engage them. If they unsubscribe or confirm they booked elsewhere, you can exhaust the enquiry at that point.
