# How to export your data from Sonas

In certain cases, you may need to extract substantial amounts of information from Sonas. Below are the various ways to export data from the system.

> If you cannot see this section or get permission denied messages with any of the actions, please contact your Company Admin in order to get the required permissions.

## How to Export Data

**Enquiries**
Go to your Enquiry List and apply the desired filters (e.g., all statuses, all types). Then select **Actions > Export**. You can download the file in Excel, CSV, or ODS format. The export includes all key information such as the client name, enquiry date, event type, and enquiry source.

**Events**
Navigate to your Event List and use the filters to refine your results (e.g., date range, event type, status — make sure to include completed events if you need past events). Click **Actions > Export**. Available formats include Excel, CSV, and ODS. The export includes custom fields, so you can sort and filter by custom field values (such as Location) once in Excel to create your own reports.

**Email Lists**
To export a list of email addresses (e.g., for all enquiries or all booked events), go to **Marketing > Export Emails**. Apply your desired filters such as event type, date range, and marketing consent status. Note that contacts who have refused marketing consent will not be included by default — uncheck the marketing consent filter to include all contacts. Choose the **Export** option to download the email list for use with your own email tool. Alternatively, you can send emails directly via [Sparkpost](/en/article/how-to-send-bulk-email-using-sparkpost-125).

**Event Details**
Within the event's guest list, go to **Actions > Export** to download the guest list in Excel, CVS or ODS format. This includes table assignments, guest roles, and meal choices.

**Transactions**
From within an event's transaction section, navigate to **Actions > Statement of Account** (a financial template). This provides a detailed account breakdown in PDF format. This is ideal for exporting a specific couple's full charge breakdown. Before generating the statement, make sure you have the Statement of Account template set up under **Venue > Templates > Statement of Account**.

**Charges**
To export charges across multiple events, use the Transactions display under **Finances**. Apply the relevant filters and then **Actions > Export**. For more details, see below.

**Finances**
Access the Finance section to export any required financial reports. For more information, refer to the [Accounting Reports](/en/article/how-to-run-and-understand-accounting-and-financial-reports-1p7k9ig) section, which outlines the three available report types and the data included in each.
